It’s best to keep your plants in a warm space. If possible, raise the thermostat of your home. Avoid placing your plants near the window or doors.

Dry Air: Most indoor plants need at least 50% humidity to survive. Signs that your plants are suffering from dry air are wilting leaves, crunchy leaves, or brown tips. If possible, provide your plants with a humidifier. However, if you’re on a budget, you can raise the humidity level by creating a microclimate by grouping several plants together to create a pocket of humidity. Another would be to mist your houseplants regularly. You can also place them in more humid rooms, such as the bathroom, kitchen, or laundry room. Lastly, place your plants on pebble trays to increase the humidity.

Not Enough Light: When your plant doesn’t receive the right amount of light, it can be prone to diseases. Some signs that your plants are not receiving enough light are pale-looking leaves, slow growth, or weak growth. One of the ways to prevent this is to follow the light. Move your plant where the light is. Another solution is to provide grow lights as an alternative to sunlight during winter.

Overwatering: Since your plants experience a slower rate of growth during the cold season, it’s best to reduce the amount of water they receive. Your plants are more likely to die from overwatering than underwatering. Water them only when the soil is completely dry. Make it a habit to check your plants at least once a week to check the soil’s condition.
